Surprise! The second anyone enters Pegs' underground palace they're affected by a wafting gas that slowly affects them and makes them react to their emotions uncontrollably ^^
*Kat-chan follows the bunnies*
Kisara came up behind Katsuya, following him since it appeared he knew where he was going.
*runs after Katsuya since he's chasing wild animals again* -_______-;
Atem had beenw andering around lost for several hours now. He was cranky and annoyed by this time. He sighed a moment and thought he saw some people ahead of him who looked familiar. He muttered something about bunnies...
Yuugi catches up with Pharaoh.
Pegasus played with his bunnies on a lower level, dancing around, humming ocontentedly as he waited for his guard-bunnies ot inform him that people had arrived.
Meanwhile, his wild-bunny-call was luring bunnies from all over to his underground palace, through a variety of entrances.
[Yuugi] "It has to be somewhere around here..."
Kat-chan chases the bunnies more, wondering why they're running away from him.
Atem turned around and looked at Yuugi with a small smile. "Ah, so you're here too? That's good to know."
Kisara continued to follow. "Katsuya, wait!"
Yuugi smiled back at Atem. "Just have to find out where the castle is..."
Atem gave a quick nod. "Indeed." He looked around and blinked.
Seth wandered out of the loft and away from Atemu and his Other Self, blinking as he sawa rabbit scamper by and idly following it, wondering what it would be doing out here.
Katsuya turns back to face Kisara. He was disappointed to not catch or snuggle a bunny.
[Shiz] "Idiot..."
The bunny scampered into a subway; he blinked and followed, glad of hte distraction.
[Kisara] "I'm glad to have run into you. Do you know how to get to the party?"
Atem sighed as he looked around with a small frown as he saw a few bunnies hop by. "So odd....."
[Katsuya] "No... He said it was supposed to be right here..."
[Kisara] She looked around. "One would think he would have made it a little easier to find his home..."
The bunnies variously started hopping into whatever unground entrances they could find, subways and cellars and serwers, etc.
Katsuya resumed chasing the bunnies, eventually following them to a bunny-hole he couldn't get into.
Atem blinked when he saw one scamper right by him, almost tripping him. He growled in annoyance and then started to chase after it in his anger. He had already had enough of these games of course anyone would if they had been lost.
Kat-chan weeps because the hole is much too small for him to enter.
Atem paused a moment when the bunny vanished. He glared a moment and sighed.
Seth looked around at hte stream of rabbit flowing down an exceedingly narrow tunnel and followed warily.
[Shiz] "Give it up, Katsuya. You're just too big."
[Atem] "Perhaps there's an entrance nearby? Surely they can't all be this small."
"Don't worry, about it, Katsuya-cha--" Suddenly, Yuugi falls into the hole, because he is small enough, unlike Kat-chan.
[Seth] He came out in... Pink. A mass of pink. Everywhere. And froze. Pegasus....................
Pegasus clasped his hands together as he greeted his first guest. "Hello! Bonjour! Welcome to mein party!"
Seth started backing away.
Yuugi just stayed in shock.
"Yuugi-kun!" Katsuya screamed.
"Yuugi!" she gasped, moving to the place where he fell. She could feel the ground begin to give out underneath her.
Pegasus didn't notice Seth and Yuugi's reactions. he waved at hte holoe above where Yuugi had fallen from, though. "COME ON DOWN!"
Shiz pulled Katsuya. "Okay, we're outta here." Just then, the ground crumbled beneath them and both fell underground.
Pegasus beamed. "Welcome!" he said brightly, though there were several people in a pile of dirt and rubble in front of him.
Sure enough, the ground gave way and Kisara tumbled after.
Standing beside his adopted mother, Maru feel right after her, a look of fear on his face~
[Shiz] "Oh...fuck."
Pegasus went starry eyed as the child entered his abode. "A CUTIE CHIBI!" he exlaimed excitedly. He wuvved children!
"................................................................................" Seth just kind of stared.
[Shiz] "We're gonna die, aren't we?"
"Yuugi!" Atem yelled before he took a step and he too fell into a hole landing hard on his back side. He grumbled as he lay there.
Kisara held Maru close, just to be safe.
"Yay!" Pegasus said brightly, ignoring the fact that htey were all on the ground, and grabbed a plate from the table, holdign it toward them. "Cheese?"
"IT'S POISONED!!!" Shiz shoves Katsuya away.
[Yuugi] "Shiz-kun, calm down. He's just trying to be nice."
Pegasus paused and blinked at her. "...Why would I poison...?" His lip trembled. "you don't trust me?!"
Yuugi takes one piece, just to prove it's not poisoned.
Pegasus brightened immediately and went around offering cheese to the others.
Maru continued to cling to Kisara, ground or not. He already didnt like this and was a wee bit fussy because of the lack of seeing certain people and not waning to take naps...
"...." Atem looked at the cheese and blinked then he too took one. He was too hungry not to accept the offer.
[Kisara] She took some to be polite. "Thank you."
Seth blinked at Pegasus, who beamed at him, and took some cheese, wondering if he could escape yet.
Atem looked at the cheese and arounda t everyone else. He didn't know if he should eat it or not given the way everyone else was reacting. He frowned a moment and then ignored the cheese in favor of getting up off the ground.
[Yuugi] "See, Shiz-kun? It's not poisoned."
Kisara also stood, Maru in her arms. "So..."
Pegasus set the cheese aside and cuddled with a bunny that he ramdomly picked from the mass of them surrounding him.
"It's not...?" Katsuya muttered. "Nee-chan, I'm hungry..."
Katsuya held his sister's hand while politely taking the cheese.
"Bunny?" Pegasus offered, holding it out toward the child.
"...Think that's poisoned too?" Seth asked Shiz curiously.
"I dunno, but it might have fleas."
Atem blinked around as he took a nibble of the cheese. He didn't really care what happened to him at the moment. Then he moved away from most of the people and just stood there silently
"I think this might be a very good party." Yuugi smiled.
Seth blinked at hteh person he realized after a moment was the other... other... other Atemu. Damn it... ><!
"Bunnies for all!" He began passing the adorable animals out like party favors.
"Yay!" Katsuya ran to Pegasus and took a bunny.
Seth looked curiously between Yuugi and Atem. "...How many of you are there...?"
"Um...so far..." Yuugi counted on his hand. "...Six?"
Kisara couldn't take one, as she had her hands full already.
Pegasus beamed and gave Kat two just for his enthusiasm. "Have fun!" he said. "Maybe they're a boy and a girl and you can have little bunnies!"
Katsuya looked with big, googly eyes at the bunny which was all white and had a heart-shaped brown spot near its eye. "Can I keep it...?"
Atem frowned a little as he looked around. Then he tried to slip further into the background.
...Seth did not need two more Atemuclones here, given his record with them previously.
[Pegasus] "Of course!"
[Katsuya] "YAY!!!!!!"
Atem looked back at Seth and frowned a little more.
Katsuya snuggled with his new pet. "Oh, it's so cute...! It's just a little baby, too!" The rabbit could fit in the palm of his hand.
Pegasus beamed at people and pressed a large, full-grown rabbit into Shiz's hand.
The pharaoh continued to look over at Seth every so often as he watched Pegasus giving out rabbits.
[Shiz] "Okay...I'm not keeping this."
Pegs' lip trembled again. "But... why? you don't like it...?"
Seth frowned a little as he realized the silent Atemu-clone was the pharaoh... right? The past self of Atemu...? And he and Atemu's past self had been... OH.... eep.
[Shiz] "I already have a dog, and she's having puppies."
Pegasus took the bunny back like she had rabies. "YOU CAN'T HAVE A BUNNY AROUND A DOG!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
[Shiz] "Jeez, what's your problem."
[Katsuya] "I'm keeping my baby bunny no matter what!"
"THE DOG WOULD EAT THE POOR BUNNYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Pegasus curled protectively around the rabbit.
[Shiz] "...Chill."
"....." Atem blinked as he watched the arguement. "Is there really a need to get all bent out of shape about this?" He intoned softly but with a slight command in his voice.
"DON'T TELL ME TO CHILL!"
"Yeah...if she has a dog, maybe you should respect that?"
Atem frowned and then walked away from the group, sitting down on the ground and waiting for everyone to stop arguing like children.
Seth avoided having to take a rabbit, as Shiz distracted him, and wandered toward hte table with the food, which happened ot be beside the pharaoh.
[Shiz] "Yeesh, fine, you dog-hater."
[Pegs] A whimper. "Dogs eat bunnies... You haveto keep the bunnies safe!"
[Kisara] Putting Maru down, she wandered over to those not involved in the arguement.
Katsuya cuddled his bunny for dear life.
Atem frowned a little as he sat there, then he looked over at Seth once more. He wanted to say something about what he had read in the priest's journal but he didn't know what to say so he stayed silent.
Seth picked up a rabbit-shaped cookie and pondered it silently for a moment. Hn. Whjy was he surprised?
Katsuya weeps emo tears at the thought of Cinnamon eating his poor bunny.
Pegasus immediately gave Katsuya a comforting hug. "Don't let the mean doggie eat your bunny!"
Atem stood up and walked towards the table where the food was and he started to place a few things on his plate in silence. Moving closer to Seth
[Shiz] "My dog is not mean! Just to intruders and perverts."
[Pegs] "And bunnies!"
[Kisara] "Hello pharaoh, Seth," she smiled, Maru in tow.
"My dog eats dog food." Shiz growled.
The pharaoh smiled at Kisara and nodded his head. "It's good to see you out and about."
Seth was, as normal, completely oblivious. He blinked at Kisara and said a blank "hi" as he perused for something not-bunni-shaped.
[Pegs] "And bunnies!"
[Shiz] "SHE DOESN'T FUCKING EAT BUNNIES!"
"Thank you. It is nice to be out, though I'm not sure about the location."
[Pegs] Gasp! "Watch your fucking mouth, young lady!! The bunnies don't need ot hear that kind of fucking language!:
[Atem] "Yes..." He frowned as the loud voices increased. His eyebrow twitched slightly
Katsuya wept even more emo tears at the dirty language only his boyfriend used.
[Kisara] "How are you doing Seth? We haven't spoken much..."
Seth expertly ignored all the yelling and lifted a cookie to nibble. He wished he could get hte stupid casts off his arm and foot... Idly, he took the brace off his broken wrist.
[Yuugi] "Don't worry, Katsuya-chan, everything will be fine."
[Seth] "I'm..." Confused? "...fine," he told her. She didn't need to know about his love life.
Yuugi brings Katsuya a cookie.
Katsuya refused, as it was shaped like a bunny.
Atem fell silent and took a bite of one of the cookies and ate it. He looked around for Yuugi and how he might have been fairing in all this. Then he looked at Seth and frowned a little. He wanted to say something.
[Kisara] She nodded. "That's good. I'm sure those injuries are not pleasant."
[Seth] "I'm okay," he said. "They're healing... thanks for your concern..."
[Kisara] "I'm glad. You always were the strong one."
"I....I hope you feel better, Seth." Atem said softly as he looked at him in concern.
[Yuugi] "Katsuya-chan, it's not a real bunny, it's a cookie. The bunny won't mind if you eat just a little cookie."
Katsuya timidly looked at the bunny cookie, then at his baby bunny.
"I suppose I wouldn't know," Seth muttered darkly. Damn it, lack of memories... he fought the depression back. "...Thanks," he said the pharaoh, not meeting his eyes as he anticipated awkwardness.
Katsuya shielded the bunny's eyes, took the cookie and ate it, feeling guilty with every bite.
[Atem] "You're welcome." He whispered even softer. Then he went back to eating his cookie in silence.
[Katsuya] From now on, he'll never eat cute things again.
Kisara looked away. "I'm sorry Seth. I didn't mean to upset you."
Pegasus sat huffily on the floor and giggled as he played with the swarming rabbits.
[Shiz] "Jeez, he has such prejudice toward dogs..."
[Seth] He sighed a bit, staring at the decapitated rabbit cookie. "It's all right... Not your fault..."
[Pegs] "I have a prejudice toward anything that eats my bunnies!"
Shiz rolled her eyes. "...Freak."
Pegasus grabbed her wrist and yanked her down t join him on hte floor, where rabbits started swarming her. "Play with something cute for a while!"
"...." Atem blinked as he looked over his shoulder at Pegasus...."Oh.....dear....."
[Kisara] "I know, but still," she replied.
Shiz punched Pegasus in the nose.
Pegasus went wide-eyed... and punched her nose back.
Kisara gasped, covering her mouth with her hand in shock.
Atem's eye twitched again then he turned on both Shiz and Pegasus. "Could you two maybe act normal! This is a party damnit not a brawl!"
"Nee-chan!" Katsuya cried loudly.
[Kisara] She shuffled back slightly towards Seth
[Shiz] "I'll sick my fucking dog on you, and I'll make sure she and her puppies eat all your fucking rabbits!"
[Yuugi] "Please, both of you, stop!"
Seth scowled (ignoringhte fight). It wouldn't be an issue if not for Atemu... damn Atemu.. damn Noa... he growled and crushed his cookie into powder, then suddenly lost the growl and waved his hand. "Ow... ow... "
Atem looked over at Seth in concern, seeing as how no one was listeing to him anyway. "Are you alright?"
[Pegs] "I have henchmen," he said dangerously. "I'll steal your soul, you bitch!"
Not wanting Maru to see such fighting, Kisara decided to move in the middle of the fight to try and break it up. "Shiz, Pegasus, please! This isn't necessary!"
Katsuya tearfully walked over to Pegasus. "Please, Mr. Crawford. Don't hate me or my baby sister..."
Shiz then pulled out a knife and stabbed Pegasus's arm.
Seth nodded, rubbing the broken wrist he'd hurt again while crushing the cookie. "Just hurt myself..."
"I don't..." Pegasus said tearfully t oKatsuya, then gave a girly shriek as he was stabbed.
[Shiz] "DIE MOTHER FUCKER!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
[Atem] "You shouldn't do that. If you're wrist is broken." He said softly then he looked back at the others and narrowed his eyes. He walked over to all of them and then grabbed Shizu. "Stop this foolishness at once!"
Shiz punched Atem in the stomach. "NO ONE CAN STOP ME!!!"
"Shiz! Please stop!" Kisara shouted.
Atem gasped as he was punched. "Foolish child." Then he took a few steps back and winced.
Before she could approach anyone else, Shiz was slapped by her own brother.
Pegasus grabbed Shiz's hair and dragged her toward a doorway. "Let's see how you like Funny-Bunny... you need a lesson in nicenes..."
Meanwhile, Seth glared at the fight and pulled Atem back in concern. "Are you all right?" he asked, fairly hovering.
Atem blinked when he felt someone pull him back. He paused a moment and turned to look at Seth. "Yes....I'm fine...."
[Kisara] "Pegasus, don't," she pleaded, trying to break up the two.
"Are you sure?" seth asked. "She hit you pretty hard..." He scowled at her.
Katsuya pulled Shiz away from Pegasus. "Don't. Touch. Her."
[Atem] "Yes...I'm fine." He looked away from Seth then and looked back towards the fight. He didn't like seeing everyone this way.
[Pegs] "SHE STABBED ME~!"
Seth scowled, still not convinced.
Atem smiled a little. "I'm fine really." then he looked back at the others. "Why don't we all calm down here, alright?"
Pegasus put his hands on his hips and glared at Atem. "Why don't you calm down?" he retorted.
"....." Atem glared at him and then turned away throwing his hands up in defeat.
"My bunnies!" Pegasus wailed, seeing the fuzzy animals running fro mthe fighting. He chased after some of them. "Come back!"
Seth scowled at them and retreated with Atem. Gr. Stupid people.
"I'm sorry, we gotta go." Yuugi pushed Kat-chan and Shiz out of the room, hoping that no more fights would break out.
Atem frowned as he watched Yuugi. Then he looked back at Seth. "Seems that the party isn't going according to plan."
"...There was a oplan?" Seth asked with a faint snort. "Somehow, with that psychopath, I doubt it."
Pegasus twitched when he heard the word 'psychopath' from across the room and stopped chasing bunnies. "what did you say...?" he asked quietly.
Seth's eyes widened with flashbacks of chains and being kept as a pet and mved behind Atem.
[Atem] "Well....some things do have plans....or at the very least things that they want to have happen. Or something like that..." Then he turned and looked at Pegasus. "Leave him alone." he narrowed his eyes on pegasus
Kisara moved to intervene. "No more fighting, okay?"
"Out of the way!" Pegasus said, and shoved the girl as he went after Seth.
Seth backed away. "No, leave me alone!!!" he said, backing into the corner.
[Kisara] She collapsed to the ground hard, not expecting the action. Flashes of Finn doing the same thing surfaced and her anger surged. A faint blue glow engulfed her.
Atem watched her fall to the ground and he turned and narrowed his eyes on Pegasus. "I suggest that you leave him alone! Or else."
[Pegs] "HE CALLED ME CRAZY!"
[Kisara] She glared at Pegasus, and in a moment the Blue Eyes White Dragon was above her. It let out a loud roar in response to its wielder's anger.
Seth couldn't flee very well with a broken ankle. He tried, though, and Pegasus gave chase, towards a doorway. And then, Seth ducked under a table, peering at the dragon.
[Atem] He looked over at Kisara and frowned...'Shit..." he thought to himself. Then he looked at Pegasus. "Please all of you....Kisara calm yourself. Seth I won't let anything happen to you"
Pegasus gave another shriek and scampered away again, perring around hte doorway at the dragon.
The dragon let out a bolt of white lighting at the doorway.
Another shriek, and Pegasus' head disappeared out of sight.
"....." Atem frowned as he looked around.....
There were no longer any bunnies in sight...
Atem went over to Kisara and placed his hands on her shoulders to try and calm her. "Kisara listen to me...calm down...you don't want to bring this whole place down."
The dragon came down to hover just in front of Kisara, watching for its target.
A whiet piece of cloth extended on a stick fluttered in the middle of the doorway as Pegasus apparently waved his surrender
[Kisara] "He wants to fight, doesn't he?" she asked angrily.
[Atem] "no..." He saw the flag then. "Look he's surrendering. Let it rest...please."
Seth was on his knees under the table, peering out. "Doesn't that mean he gives up?"
[Kisara] "But he tried to hurt people! Shouldn't he feel the consequences of what he's done?"
"That's true," Seth said brightly. "he's the one who gave me all these injuries." He frowned unhappily.
[Atem] "This isn't the place for that, Kisara." He looked at her intently his eyes focusing only on her. "It wasn't his intention to hurt people. Things...just got out of hand"
The white flag waved harder.
[Kisara] "What about what he did to Seth? And others? He isn't going to hide behind a foolish piece of cloth!" she shouted, her dragon incinerating the flag in response.
There was a yelp, and the charred stick disappeared.
[Atem] He lowered his head and looked back towards the doorway. "I don't know much about the things he did. But....I think he deserves another chance. This is not the place for a bloodbath, Kisara...." He looked back at Seth concerned.
Pegasus sent out a cute, cuddly bunny with a truce note.
Seth watched it hop curiously.
The dragon's eyes narrowed.
Atem looked more intently at Kisara and then he grabbed up the bunny before anything could happen to it. He looked at the note and then back at her.
"No one can hatehte bunnies!" Pegasus was heard to giggle.
"....." Atem sighed and then looked back at Kisara and then towards the direction of Pegasus. "I call this fight over, by order of the pharaoh!"
Pegasus dared peek his head around the doorway.
[Kisara] "You're making a mistake pharaoh," she murmured. "Pegasus needs to be taught a lesson."
[Atem] "Then if I'm making a mistake it will be on my head and not anyone else's!"
"Well! You heard him!" Pegs said brightly, hopping out when he didn't get fried. "Fight's over!"
Kisara's dragon roared in defiance, but did not attack. She looked at Pegasus. "One way or another, you will pay."
Atem frowned and looked at Kisara. "Get that ka under control, Kisara."
[Pegs] He went promptly chibi-eyed. "I'm sorry?"
Seth didn't come out from under the table.
[Kisara] After a moment, the dragon disappeared. The blue glow disappeared from her eyes.
"Yayz!" Pegasus said brightly, and clapped his hands together. "Who wants cake?"
Atem breathed a little easier once the dragon was gone. He took a few steps away from everyone then. Even though he hadn't really done anything he felt weak now. Side effects of the ritual in egypt.
Seth scooted to the edge of the area under the table, looking out. Not safe... eh was just going ot stay here forever...
Atem sat down and closed his eyes. He wasn't going to tell anyone how horrible he felt...it was none of their concern at this point. And as pharaoh he couldn;t show pain or weakness or anything...
Pegasus breezed out to fetch cake.
[Kisara] With her dragon gone, she semi-collapsed back to the ground feeling quite dizzy.
Seth looked around, then scooted out of the shelter of hte table and poked her a little. "You okay...?"
[Kisara] "I...I'm not sure," she replied. "What happened? Did I do something terrible?"
[Seth] "No... threatened hte bunny psycho with the dragon..."
[Kisara] "I did what?!" she exclaimed in disbelief.
A knock sounded on the door.
[Seth] "You incinerated his surrender flag..."
[Kisara] "Oh Ra, how could I have done such a thing?"
[Seth] "I dunno, but it looked cool..."
[Kisara] "Perhaps...perhaps I should go..."
[Seth] ".........Why?"
Atem continued to sit there not saying anything at all.
[Kisara] "I know how dangerous I am Seth," she replied. "I don't want to hurt anyone when I cannot control my own ka beast."
"I think....you should be alright now Kisara." Atem whispered
Seth patted her shoulder companionably. "If you do, they deserve it."
[Kisara] "But how do I know that? I can't control my dragon. Suppose I had hurt you or the pharaoh instead? Would it be all right then?"
Pegasus breezed back in with cake as the door was knocked upon again. He offered them all cake, ignoring hte door.
Atem frowned and sighed...then he looked at the cake and blinked
[Seth] "Um... no, probably not... but you wouldn't, because we don't deserve it," he said confidently.
[Kisara] She looked away. "There is no such certainty Seth."
The pharaoh frowned as he watched Kisara and Seth talking...he felt strange as he watched them...jealous maybe?
Seth shrugged and triedot stand up, overbalancing and falling again on his broken wrist with a string of swear words.
"Seth!" she gasped, moving over to him. "Are you all right?"
The door got pounded upon. Pegasus smiled and answered it, accepting a package that said it was from Ghost. then he gave a girly scream and fell backwards in a dead faint.
"..." Atem was going to say something but he frowned and was silent.
[Seth] "I'm fine," he said, deciding it was safer ot sit there and not try and get up, rubbing his wrist.
[Kisara] "Are you sure? You may have injured it further..."
"....." The pharaoh started to feel even more withdrawn then before. He looked around for someplace that would lead him out of here.
There was a door... but Pegasus was passed out in front of it.
"How can you break a wrist more?" Seth asked blankly,. and blinked at het pharaoh. "Do all Atemu's wangst...?"
[Kisara] Her brows knitted. "I don't understand...wangst?"
[Atem] He looked at Seth. "I'm not...whatever you just said."
"..Wangst..." He made a vague, unhelpful gesture. "Like... be sad all the time? Default setting is sad... Why can't everyone be like Seth-chan, with their default being happy? At least mine is blank..."
[Atem] "I'm not sad." He said in his defense. "I was just...thinking....hoping...it was nothing." He looked towards Pegasus. "Seems our host has passed out."
Kisara looked. "He has. I wonder why...?"
Seth blinked at him, and Pegasus. "Well, you look sad... Why is he passed out?"
[Atem] "I wasn't sad till...nevermind." He looked back down at their host and sighed a little. "Maybe we should find someplace more comfortable for him then the floor."
Seth loked around as the bunnies started coming back and mostly all curled up ith Pegasus. "I dunno... looks like he'd like it there... Till what?" He blinked. "Is this more of that pining that Atemu seems ot do for old lovers...?" blinkblink.
[Kisara] "Pharaoh..?"
Atem ignored Seth and the pain he was feeling his body and his heart oddly enough. He knelt down beside pegasus and looked around. He saw the package and frowned.
Insidehte package, a birthday present from Ghost, a.k.a. BunnyKiller, was a decapitated rabbit. (( As decreed by Ghost-mun ))
[Atem] He looked into it and blinked as he looked away. "that's just sick." he said softly
Kisara turned away, feeling ill. "Who would do something so terrible?"
Fine... Seth pouted a bit at being ignored and madethe effort to stand again, managing to get upright this time. "...Didn't he promise alcohol wouldbe here?" he said curiously, looking around.
[Atem] "I'll...um get rid of this..." He said as he gathered the package into his hands and started to head out the door.
Seth looked down at pegasus and idly poked him with his foot. He didn't move.
The pharaoh looked back at Seth a moment before he continued outside to get rid of the grossness.
[Kisara] "So...what should we do now?"
Seth shrugged, waiting for hte pharao ht get bac, and wandered to the table, finding bottles of what looked like uice. "Thirsty, anyone?"
Kisara shook her head. "I don't think I can stomach anything right now."
The pharaoh disposed of the grissley gift and then he came back in looking more pale then when he left.
[Kisara] "Pharaoh, will you be all right?"
Seth shrugged and poured himself a glass, sipping it. It was like what Mokuba had given him to drink... He offered a glass to the pharaoh.
Pegasus groaned, and giggled as hte bussies ticckled him with teir noses and fur.
[Atem] "I'm fine." He said softly then he looked at the offered glass and took it downing the contents quickly.
Seth refilled his glass for him and finished his own. That was good...
[Atem] He drank it down as well and then put the glass down and sat looking at Pegasus and wondering if the man would be alright.
[Kisara] She walked up to the pharaoh and placed a light hand on his shoulder. "Perhaps you should sit, or something pharaoh. Contrary to your words, you don't look fine."
[Atem] "Don't worry about me." He smiled at her. "I'm fine really."
[Kisara] "All right," she replied after a moment, not sounding entirely convinced.
[Seth] "Sure you don't want some?" Seth offered to Kisara.
[Kisara] She nodded. "I'm sure."
[Atem] "I wonder when our host is gonna wake up..." He wondered as he looked at Pegasus once more. "'Shame is he sleeps through his whole party...."
Seth shrugged. "I like him better asleep. he's not keeping people prisoner..." He rubbed at his neck, which had faintly scarred from the collar. He wandered toward a doorway. "Wonder where this goes..."
"I don't think he wanted to keep anyone prisoner this time." He looked at Seth and frowned a little...it must have been horrible what his priest had been through. He wanted to help him if he could. "I think we should all stay here."
[Kisara] "Yes, I don't think wandering would be a good idea..."
[Seth] "I'm sure we can find our way back..."
[Atem] "I don't think it's a good idea Seth." He said softly
"...maybe not," Seth agreed, and settled for refilling his glass.
[Atem] "Do you think you should be drinking that stuff...whatever it is?"
"..Why not?" seth asked. "You are..."
[Atem] "I only had two glasses you know."
Perhaps you should go easy on that Seth," Kisara warned.
"And this is only my third..." Seth handed Atemu-clone another glass. "What's your name, pharaoh? I've met an Atemu, a Yami, and a Yuugi..."
He took the glass and looked at it a moment then he looked at Kisara. "I agree with her you should go easy on this stuff...whatever it is. As to my name....Atem...."
[Seth] "Oh... close to Atemu's, then..." he finished his glass and found a different bottle with something amber in it. Not being able ot read, he couldn't tell what it was, but he filled the glass with that instead.
[Atem] "Too many 'Atems' around here" He whispered. Then he looked at the new bottle seth had. "You really need to not drink that I think."
[Seth] "Why? What is it?"
[Atem] "No clue." He sighed a little. "Maybe we should all head out of here or something. I mean...looks like the party is kind over anyway."
"All right," Seth said agreeably, and looked around. There were about a dozen doors. "How? I dont' think we can go out the ceiling?"
[Kisara] "I agree," she looked around. "I suppose we'll have to start looking."
Atem got up and winced a little. He felt even worse then before and he stood there a moment without moving or speaking
If he wasn't about half drunk, Seth might have thought ot check hte door that Pegasus was passed out in front of. Instead, he chose a door at random and opened it, looking out curiously.
Kisara took hold of his arm. "Here, let me help pharaoh."
Atem looked back at PEgasus. "Poor man." He frowned as he took a drink of the glass and then poured himself another. Then he looked at Kisara and Seth. "Hmmm I wonder where we should wander too?"
She looked pointedly at the door Seth had opened. "Perhaps that way?"
Seth tourned back and grabbed a couple bottles. Just in case. "Let's go then..."
Atem blinked and frowned and then followed.
Kisara trailed behind
Without saying anything, Seth topped off Atem's glass. "Do we even know precisely what we;re looking for?"
[Atem] "I've not been here before so how should I know." he said softly as he drank from his glass. He looked back at Kisara. "Are you sure you don't want to drink something?"
[Kisara] "No, I don't want anything," she replied.
[Atem] "Not even some water?" He asked as he brought out a water bottle he had with him. He had been in the habit of carying it since he seemed to be in the habit of getting lost and he didn't want to be without water
"OKay then," Seth said cheerfully, and checked a door, shutting it quickly. "....Bunnies.... Fluffy... pink... bunnies..."
[Kisara] "I suppose some water wouldn't hurt," she said, walking quickly to catch up.
He smiled and handed her his water bottle. "You don't want to get thirsty and then not have something after all." He looked back to Seth and frowned. "Bunnies?""
Something inside shifted when Seth shut hte door; jsut as Kisara caught up, the dorr buirst open, as he could hold it no longer, and an avalanche of fluffy pink bunnies ensued. The bunnies fell out, making Seth scamper ungainly-ly away, and bloocked the hallway behind them. Seth just blinked slowly at a solid wall of stuffed bunnies now blocking their way back.
"..." Atem blinked
[Kisara] "...oh my."
[Seth] "...Damn..."
[Kisara] "Now what?" she asked, hands convusively gripping the bottle.
[Atem] "Guess we need another doorway?"
[Kisara] "Maybe...we should backtrack and try another door."
[Atem] "I agree."
"...This way!" Seth said, turning a different direction. Whee, alcohol madethis fun!
[Atem] "I think Seth's had too much to drink." He whispered to Kisara
[Kisara] "I agree," she whispered back. "Maybe we should try and wake Pegasus back up."
Seth pouted at them. "Hey! Don't talk about me! Stop whispering back there!"
"Seth, perhaps we should go back to the room and wake Pegasus up."
[Seth] "Aww... fine, fine... which way is that?"
[Atem] "I don't know." He smiled warming at Seth and just looked at him for a moment. "Maybe we should go back and check on him."
[Kisara] "I think it was this way," she said pointing.
"Okay!" Seth said. "Let's go!"
Atem smiled once more and followed admiring Seth as they walked
They stepped suddenly into a wide open space - Seth uttered a high-pitched noise a ducked behind Atem. They were greeted with a stuffed rabbit easily 50 feet long, with giant glass eyes as tall as him.
"......woah....that's just scary...." Atem looked up at the bunny and blinked. "Maybe he really is crazy." He looked back at Seth. "You alright...my love.." He blinked a moment and looked back at the bunny
Kisara let out a yelp when they came upon the bunny. "...."
Seth was used ot things like that from Atemu. Atem looked enough like Atemu for that to seem normal. "That's a big rabbit..." he said rather weakly
[Atem] "Yes..it is..." He looked back at him and raised an eyebrow. "Afraid of it?"
"Um... no?" Seth bravely stood up again.
[Atem] He smiled. "Good. So what should we do with it? Maybe we should go in another direction." He looked at Kisara. "What do you think?"
[Kisara] She couldn't tear her eyes away from it, as if it was going to come alive any second. "The sooner, the better."
[Atem] "You know...it's really creepy..." He grabbed Seth's hand and held it a little then he grabbed Kisara's hand too. "let's go...."
Seth nodded silently and took several steps backward. then of course he stumbled in his cast and fell over, dragging them both down like dominoes on top of him.
Kisara let out a yelp as she was dragged down, blushing when she landed on top of both men.
Atem blinked as he found himself in the middle. He looked at Seth intently a moment his eyes softening as he looked at him. "I...." He felt his entire body growing warm and he blushed but he didn't seem able to move at least not yet
Seth was frozen. Well, he was squished, but even if he could have moved he wouldn't have. "...Atem...?"
[Atem] He blinked feeling some memories coming back to him and he blushed. "Seth...I...."
Seth just blinked blankly, oblivious... he had none of those pesky memories to bother him.
[Atem] He didn't know why he felt like this, he wanted to...do things...with Seth....A blush crept onto his dark features a moment. "Is everyone alright?" He finally asked still staring at Seth
Kisara quickly crawled off the both of them. "Uh...maybe...we should keep moving."
"...I think I broke my wrist more..." Seth said mournfully, looking at his swollen joint; apparently he'd fallen on it one too many times, because it looked disjointed again.
Atem got off him and then kneeled beside him. "Is there anything I can do to help?" He looked back at Kisara. "Do you know anything about fixing this?"
She shook her head, trying not to look at either of them for very long.
Seth shifted away. Eek! Attention! Bad! "It's okay..."
[Atem] He frowned and looked away. "Sorry." He stood up and offered his hand. "Come on let's get moving again please."
Seth took his hand with the hand on the broken arm, rather than the broken wrist, and stood wobbly-ly for a moment. "Where now...?"
[Atem] He wrapped his arm about Seth's waist to steady him and he looked back at Kisara. "Where do you think we should go?"
[Kisara] "I'm not sure," she replied, placing a hand against the wall. Unfortunately, the place where her hand rested was actually a button which she inadvertedly pressed.
The floor gave way, and in an instant Kisara was gone.
Seth blinked very slowly. Hm..................
[Atem] "Kisara!" He frowned and went close to where she had vanished from.
Seth looked down the hole. Well... "Kisara? Dragon-lady?"
[Atem] "Kisara can you hear me?!" He yelled down the hole
Her cries echoed up the shaft until they were cut off by her landing. She hit the ground hard, dislocating her shoulder.
".........Why the hellwould he have a random bottomless pit?" Seth wondered aloud.
[Atem] "...shit..." We have to find her
[Kisara] "...yes," she tried to call back up. The mere action made her wince in pain.
[Atem] "Did you hurt anything?" He called down to her
"We know where she is," Seth pointed out, as her voice echoed up."Down there. Finding her isn't the problem."
[Kisara] "Shoulder," she called back up. "It hurts."
[Atem] "And how are we going to get down there? There's no way you're going to take a tumble in your condition." He looked back down the hole and frowned.
[Seth] "Probably no one should take that tumble... maybe we can lower something down... like that rabbit's ear?" He looked back. "Maybe there's another way down."
[Atem] "I don't think that would be stable enough in her condition." He looked back at Seth and smiled a little more. "Though finding another way down there would be good...but....I dont want us to be separated. Do you see anything at all down there Kisara?"
Seth idly rested his chin on Atem's shoulder as he looked over, down hte hole, and took another drink.
She struggled to sit up, her left arm limp. Looking around only seemed to darken her mood. "No. I can't see a thing. It's so cold..."
[Atem] "Damn." He frowned and placed a hand along Seth's cheek a little. He couldn't get distracted though. He thought a moment and then removed his own jacket he had worn. "I'm going to throw down my jacket to keep you a little warm ok?"
"Save it; I'll be okay," she called up.
[Atem] "No....I don't need it at the moment I'll be fine." He smiled a little and then went a head and let go of it. Hoping she would get it.
Seth sat down by the wall, waiting. "So what're we gonna do?" he asked a bit fuzzily, toying with the bottle.
She heard the jacket fall, but the sound reverberated throughout the room. She tried feeling around for it, with no luck.
[Atem] "Any luck finding it?" He hadn't really been thinking to clearly when he dropped, point of fact he wasn't thinking all that clearly before. He looked back at Seth. "We're....going to go find her of course." He smiled at him and blushed
[Seth] "Kay. Good." He took a drink. "...how?"
Giving up, she laid down on the floor, curling up on her good side to keep warm. I'm never going to get out of here...
[Atem] "I'm not sure." He wrapped his arms about his chest feeling a little cold now himself. He had given up his royal egyptian garb when he came back since he felt silly wearing it. The only thing that remained of his pharonic attire was the arms bands, his elaborate bracelets and his rings. "Kisara?" he called down again
Seth himself was just wearing soething that looked like a long skirt, since sleeves didn't agree with his cast and he didn't agree with pants. But he felt nice and warm from the drinks...
[Atem] He looked back at Seth and frowned. "We have to get down there and save her."
She couldn't hear anything else. The pain was too much for her, so she had taken to try and meditate to forget about it for awhile. Still she shivered.
"How?" Seth repeated.
"Damnit seth I don't know!" He walked towards him and then wrapped his arms about him resting his head on his shoulder.
Seth blinked and didn't move, either to or away from him. Except that that warmth felt good too. "I thought you had a plan."
[Atem] "My only plan is to go down there and find her. But the only way I can see to get down there is to go through the hole she went through."
"But that'll hurt," Seth pointed out.
What Kisara didn't realize, and might have persuaded her to call back up to Atem and Seth, was the sudden warmth pouring from her injured shoulder.
[Atem] "Well, if anyone went down there it would be me, not you. You'd stay here. But even if I got down there I have no clue what I could do to help."
"Then what would that help?" Seth said blankly.
[Atem] "I don't know." He walked back over to the hole once more shivering slightly since now the warmth of Seth's body was gone. "Kisara?!"
There was no answer.
Seth followed, on his hands and knees, looking down. "Kisara?" he repeated after Atem.
[Atem] "I'm worried since she's not answering." He whispered
"Why are you whispering?" Seth whispered.
"I don't know." He tunred and looked back at him. "Do you think I should go down there and see what I can do?"
[Seth] "I think we should find another way down, or... something..."
Atem stood up and looked around. He didn't know what he could do. He looked back down the hole and wondered if Kisara's Ka monster might protect her and might be of aide to them but he didn't know what to do to summon it.
Seth stood up... and fell over again. Balance... kaput. He had landed with his hands on the edge of hte hole, looking down, his head and half his chest suspended over it. Blinkblink.
[Atem] "Seth!" He quickly pulled him back from the edge. "I don't want you falling down there too...not when I finally found you again..."
[Seth] "I won' fall..." he mumbled, and stood up, this time managing to stand, leaning on Atem. "Maybe there's another button..."
[Atem] He held him close to his body and closed his eyes. "Perhaps, there is another button but that button might do as it did before. And I don't think either of us really wants to fall." Seth was so warm...
[Seth] "Um. Maybe not... maybe a button to pull her back up...?" He barely noticed htat he was being held onto.
Atem smiled a little and looked at Seth almost kissing him for the idea. He went back to look at the button she pushed and then pressed it...but nothng seemed to happen
There was a grinding sound from far below.
Seth leaned over hte hole again, dangerously far. "Kisara?"
Four glass walls came up around the room, and Kisara was elevated up four feet on an altar-like platform. Noises could be heard, like hatches opening somewhere.
Seth frowned. "...Kisara...?"
"Kisara?" Atem echoed Seth's words
Something opened on one of the walls, and water could be heard pouring into the room.
..."That sounds bad..." Seth noted clinically.
[Atem] "Water?" He frowned and looked around
It was a small pipe, only six inches in diameter, and was pouring at a slow but steady rate.
Seth leaned forward and knocked on the side of hte pit with a "Kisara?!" Then he pulled his arm back with a whimper. Ow... ow...
Atem moved closer to Seth and wrapped his arm about him protectively. "Stop hurting yourself silly." He looked about. "Kisara!"
Seth didn't answer as he leaned absently against him. "Now what?"
Again, there was no response. Because the wound had gone unchecked, the blood was flowing rather freely. The water around her was slowly approaching a foot in depth.
[Atem] "I don't know." He whispered and held the other tighter. "We have to do something."
Seth looked down, wondering how deep the pit was.
The pharaoh's frown increased as he looked down the hole. The water seemed to be getting deeper by the sound of it. He sighed a moment and then looked at Seth
" If I did something totally stupid...will you be able to take care of me?"
"Um... no?" Seth asnwered truthfully. "I'm kind of weak and hur, but I'd do what I could... what do you mean? What are you going ot do? Don't get hurt..."
When the water reached two feet, a switch activated. Gears and hatches could be heard moving beneath them.
The floor around the platform holding Kisara dropped, and water rushed in from another source. The original pipe was still pumping in water.
[Atem] "Just promise me you won't do anything stupid Seth? "He then looked towards the hole and closed his eyes. He was going to summon the shadow magics to make things right...it was going tot ake alot out of him though
When the noise stopped, the floor lay another 40 feet below Kisara, and something began to circle her in the water. Something that smelled her blood.
"I guess..." Seth watched himwith open worry.
And it was hungry.
Bright, cheerful, and yet dramamtic music began to play, reverberating out of hte pit.
[Atem] He started to chant softly, the wadjet eye appearing on his forehead as he worked. Thankfully, having been recently god blessed the chanting didn't take too long. The water started to receed and small daggers started to stab the creature in the water He increased the magics more weaving his soul into it now to up the power of the attack and to make the water vanish.
Seth waited breathlessly for a good sign, until he decidedot breathe.
Atem's body started to glow a warm yellow color like gold. That glow then moved away from him and went down into the hole. It gathered Kisara up in it's 'arms' and brought her back to where theyw ere
Kisara didn't move, or acknowledge anything external. Blood had soaked the fabric of her dress all over her left shoulder. That arm hung at an odd angle.
Atem didn't look up from his work as the hole in the ground sealed up. Then to golden 'arms' went about healing Kisara's wound
"Ew...." Seth said, making a face, as he stood upand took her as well as he could, lying her down on the ground and pullinghte bloody dress off her shoulder to watch.
Atem's magic was still working on healing the wound. Or rather the gods were healing the wound though the pharaoh. However, he was starting to look pale as he worked.
Seth was, what else, oblivious. He gently pulled back ot dress almost completely off her arm and down her chest to make sure there were no more wounds.
Atem then finished his chanting and the wound was healed. Though it would be tender and probably hurt like hell for a little bit
Seth watched her, wiping blood off getnly... more to be nice ot his wrist than her wound, admittedly. "Kisara...?"
Despite the healing, she had lost a lot of blood. She teetered between consciousness and unconsciousness.
Seth glanced at Atem, and noticed how pale he was. "Are you all right?"
Atem didn't speak as he sat there. He still had his eyes closed and was still lost in whatever connection he had with the gods
[Seth] Blinkblink. Well, this was a new state of affairs when he was hte most able one around...
Atem sat there a moment and then he opened his eyes. He looked at Seth. "Is Kisara safe?"
[Seth] "Um. She's alive. not really awake, though..."
[Atem] "I'm sure she'll wake." He stood up and moved towards Seth.
Seth shrugged and sat beside her, waiting."I still want to get away from the big bunny..." He glanced over is shoulder nervously at the thing.
[Atem] "Me too." He said softly then he sat down beside Seth and rested his head in the other's lap. "Will you hold me while I take a rest."
".............I guess..." Seth said blankly.
"Thanks..." Though Atem didn't sleep he just sat there looking up at Seth. "I....I....love you...you know." He whispered
Seth could feel himself turning colors. Like, red, mostly. "I love Atemu..." he told him, shaking his head. "I really do... I don't know why you would love me, you don't even know me..." Oh, wait, He did knw him. Seth just didn't rememebr. Still...
Atem smiled sadly and closed his eyes."I know you love Atemu..." He whispered then he looked over at Kisara a moment and frowned changing the subject. "She should be fine...soon"
"And then we can get out of here," Seth said, feeling his face return to normal as hte subject was dropped. Why did people feel the need to confess emotions to him? He didn't even understand hsi own!
Kisara frowned, falling into a light slumber that brought an all too familiar nightmare. She fidgeted for a few minutes before her eyes shot open and she sat up quickly, a cry escaping her lips.
[Atem] "Yes." He whispered. then he looked back at Seth. "I'm sorry about saying that. It's clear you don't remember what we once had. That's alright."
Seth flushed again and was glad of the distraction when Kisara sat up."Are you okay?" he asked immediately.
Atem looked over at her and smiled a little but he was silent once more.
It was clear she wasn't completely awake, her eyes were wide with fear. She trembled violently, staring at the floor in front of her.
Atem looked at her and frowned. "Kisara...it's it's alright now."
Oh... bad dreams. Seth was intimately familiar with bad dreams. He scooted forward and hesitantly rubbed her back. "Kisara?" he said.
"Stay away!" she cried, trying to swat the arm away with her left arm and wincing from the pain. She tried to slide away, but couldn't move very quickly or very far.
[Atem] "Kisara..." He frowned and sat up with a hiss of pain.
"Ow!" Seth said; the hit was very hard, but his wrist still hurt. He pouted and moved away from her, cradling his injured arm.
Atem looked at Seth and wrapped his arms about him. "Maybe we should just leave her alone for now."
After a minute her eyes focused and she came back to the here-and-now. She let out a shuddering breath. "Pharaoh, Seth...I thought you were someone else."
"She hurt me," Seth said unhappily, grabbing for the bottle of wine. He was acting a lot like Pegasus, though maybe less insane.
[Atem] "Shhhhh, Seth." He wrapped his arms a bit tighter around him. Then he smiled at Kisara. "It's alright.
"I'm sorry Seth," she whispered, keeping her distance.
Seth smiled, pouting gone. "Yeah, it;s okay. I've been hurt a lot worse." He frowned then.
She covered herself with her arms, realizing some of her dress was falling away ((THANKS SETH XD)). Her arm felt like it was on fire, but she tried not to pay it much attention.
Atem gave a weak chuckle. "I guess I should've saved my jacket to give you for now huh? I'm sorry."
"No apologies necessary," she replied quietly. "Thank you for coming for me."
"...can we get away from the bunny now...?" Seth asked, looking back at it with rahter wide eyes.
Atem looked at Seth and frowned a little. "If Kisara thinks she's well enough then we can leave."
She stumbled to her feet. "Yes, I'm okay. I want to get out of here."
"Alright. And there's no need to thank me." He whispered. Then he stood up. He held back any winces of pain he was having. He didn't want to worry anyone in the group after all.
"Yay!" Seth said as he stood, and fell, and stood again, and leaned on the wall, wary of buttons.
"Do you want to lean on me?" Atem asked as he moved closer to Seth, wrapping his arm about his waist and holding the other's weight as well as his own.
"I feel weird..." Seth muttered, taking another drink.
Kisara kept her own arms wrapped as tightly around her chest as she could manage, trailing behind the pair.
[Atem] "Maybe you drank too much." He took the bottle from Seth and then drank from it hoping to use that to dull the pain even more. Then he looked back at Kisara. "Are you sure you're alright? Sorry about not helping sooner...."
"I'm fine," she insisted. "Let's just hurry and find a way out."
"Why would drinking make me feel weird...?" Seth hobbled along, looking around blankly.
[Atem] "I don't have a clue." He started to walk faster out of the weird room that had caused them such trouble. "Do you think we can get out of here or should we maybe rest?"
"What if we tried that other door in the room we had come from?" she asked. "The one Pegasus fainted in?"
"...How do we get back there?" Seth asked. He had no idea...
[Kisara] "If someone had come down to deliver that package, wouldn't they have had to come from somewhere that would lead out?"
[Seth] "Or maybe they're lost too..."
[Atem] "I guess. I don't know. I just want....to rest...and be warm...next to Seth." He ddn't really know what he was saying at this point words just slipped out
Seth did a really good job of ignoring that, only turning a little red and squirming just slightly.
Kisara couldn't ignore it, but chose not to let anyone know. "Let's just try and find our way back to that room then. Rest there."
"Alright." the pharaoh agreed as he started to lean a little more on Seth..."I'm starting to feel odd too..." He looked at the bottle he was carrying..."What the hell is this stuff."
Seth shrugged. "Yummy?"
[Atem] "I dunno." He said softly then looked around. "Are we going the right way to get out?
Seth giggled a little. "I thought you knew..."
"I think so," Kisara said, looking around. "This passage looks familiar."
"Nothing looks familiar to me....except Seth." Obviously the gas that had driven everyone to act strange had built up in Atem...probably leaving the door wide open for him to act even more oddly then the other
After a great deal of walking, they finally came upon the room they had originally departed from. Kisara for one was relieved.
The bunnies were still everywhere on the floor, but Pegasus was gone... had probably gone to bed, apparently. "Yay!" Seth said in relief.
Atem looked around and smiled a little when they made it back. "Thank the gods." he whispered as he moved away from Seth and leaned against the wall
Seth wobbled when his support was removed... but didn't fall. Ta-da! he sat down on the floor regardless. "I'm tired," he complained. "I don't think we can get out tonight..."
Kisara wandered over to a far corner and slid down the wall, intent on curling up and trying to not think about everything for awhile. She hoped she wouldn't sleep, but couldn't be sure.
Atem lay there for a moment his eyes closed. Then he remembered he had something for Kisara. He got up and walked over to her slowly. "I have that potion for you." He said softly and placed the stoppered bottle next to her.
"Oh, thank you," she said, surprised. She had forgotten all about it. Maybe, if she decided to try and sleep she'd take it.
Seth curled up in the floor... but he couldn't sleep, if he didn't have someone he couldn't sleep... he'd have dreams about Yami and he just couldn't do that...
She shifted on the floor, trying to get comfortable despite the pain wracking her body.
[Atem] "Welcome" He whispered then he staggered back to Seth. "Can....cab I hold you while you sleep?" He asked softly. He looked horrible
"You don't look good," Seth pointed out, sitting up. Then he sighed alittle and moved closer to Kisara. "Let's all sleep together?" he suggested. "That way, if someone has... dreams, or anything... And we'll stay warm..."
"I'd...rather not," she said, tensing up. "I'm fine on my own."
[Atem] "I..." he started to say something but then his voice failed him and he wandered over to a corner and sat down.
Seth tilted his head at her. "Why?" he asked. "Sleeping with people helps bad dreams..." Well, sleeping with Atemu helped bad dreams, anyway.
In truth she wasn't, but the emotions running through her plus the ripped dress made her less comfortable with the idea. "I don't mind sleeping on my own. I do it all the time at home."
"Oh... I can't," Seth admitted, and scooted away again.
Atem looked up. "You can come and sleep with me. I'll....try to keep the bad dreams away."
Seth paused and bit his lip. "but I don't think Kisara is really okay," he said bluntly,.
"I'm fine," she said just as bluntly.
Atem was silent hardly having the energy to do anything now
"No you're not," he said, but gave up and crawled over to Atem and curled up beside him. Maybe he could keep the dreams away too? He just knew he didn't want them.
Atem wrapped an arm lightly about the priest and muttered something that didn't make sense at all.
Relieved that that was over, she closed her eyes and tried to focus on her breathing, as Mahaado had taught her. She was beginning to prefer meditation over sleep. It was a sure-fire way to get rest without the nightmares or worries.
Seth pillowed his head on Atem's shoulder and decided to try to sleep, and if he had dreams he'd just stay up after he woke up...
Atem had long ago fallen asleep though he did nuzzle closer to the warmth that was beside him. He was freezing dressed as he was in pants and a tank top.
Kisara's body shivered, but she didn't acknowledge it, being deep in meditation. Her breathing eased, and for awhile she forgot about everything else but her breathing.
